Kayo Kasamatsu

In 2015, Kayo Kasamatsu completed her studies at the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo. She uses the technique of “Kaga Zogan”, a traditional craft from Ishikawa Prefecture. Kaga Zogan is a craft that was once used to make samurai ornaments such as sword blades and horse accessories. She has developed this into a variety of accessories and small items that fit the modern lifestyle. Some of her works were exhibited at stores and galleries throughout Japan, mainly in Kanazawa. She has recieved many awards in various exhibitions, including the Japan Traditional Craft Exhibition.
