Kinkori Shikkiten has been manufacturing and selling tableware, trays and boxes in business for 100 years. The workshop was not accessible to public, but since April 2019 they have set up a workshop in the same facility as “ TSUGI ” to welcome everyone to learn about the process of their beauty invention, and having the glimpse of the craftsmen’s inner working. Kinkori Shikkiten often offers free tours and holds workshops where craftsmen can directly share and guide everyone how’s traditional lacquer ware painting is made.
