Kinzangama/Yukio Yoshita
This is a Kutani’s overglaze kiln studio in Komatsu, Ishikawa, Kinzangama has continued to produce porcelains for about 110 years. Inheriting Kutani’s various techniques since it was founded in 1906 by the 1st-generation head Shosaku Yoshita, their specialty is known for the gold-colored technique, which has been characterized by painting with gold starting from the first generation onwards. The 3rd-generation, Minori Yoshita, has been recognized as one of the national intangible cultural heritage (Living National Treasure). And now, the 4th-generation Yukio Yoshita continues the tradition while making new expressions that match the time era.
