The studio was opened soon after the war, continues to produce works of art, mainly overlay paintings. The studio is a two-storey building where you can enjoy works exhibited in the gallery on the first floor, and have a glimpse on the actual production site on the second floor. Currently, Kunimori Yamanaka, the third generation of the firm is producing mostly the artworks. One of his highlights is his delicate painting, especially well-known for the fine brushwork of small details. He has a deep appreciation for nature, and you can see the beauty of the flowers, birds, winds, and the moon painted in Kutani paintings.
