Miyakoshi Tokuji and Aya

Using the original Kutani clay, and produced using the traditional “molding technique” (molding a plaster-made mold with a potter’s wheel and ground dough). This is a workshop run by a couple, aiming to make vessels that can makes our everyday life brighter. Tokuji Miyakoshi is trained at Myoizumi Tobo in Kaga City for 21 years since 1991 and is well mastered in creating excellent thin, white, translucent porcelain pieces. Aya Miyakoshi entered Seto Ceramics Training School in 1993, is engaged in various production activities, including the well-known ceramic dolls.
