Seiko Corporation (Seiko gama)

Founded during Taisho era, this is the fourth generation of Kutani ware manufacturer. The first generation, Seiko (1910 to 1965), was a craftsman of Kutani ware in farming village in Terai (currently known as Nomi City), and later become the craftsman under his father who sold Kutani ware to Shiga Prefecture and other places. They have developed their own printing technology and Japanese paints which brought them to become the largest manufacturer in the Kutani-yaki industry till today. Pop Kutani bean dishes are one of the popular piece all over the country. You are able to see the differences of Kutani ware produced at this studio to those produced in hand painting studio.
