Established in 1909, this workshop specializes in manufacturing Orin “Singing Bowl” (Meditation Sound Bowl Handcrafted for Buddhist temples.) There are less than 10 Skilled craftsmen nationwide, and of which 3 masters are from the workshop. Using the technique of tankin (metal hammering) Orin is performed using a very old technique of “hammering”, adjusting the roundness and tuning the sound. In 2012, a new brand “Syouryu” was introduced, combining the craft of “hammering” technique, the studio has developed and manufactured lifestyle products named “Suzugami”.
