Founded in 1793, Echizen lacquerware studio is now in their eighth generations. Shitsurindo has made fine lacquerware in Fukui prefecture for over two centuries since its beginning. These lidded bowls are made by hand painting lacquer onto wooden bowls. Launching their exquisite brand “Aisomo Cosomo” (since 2009) and “Bowl House” (in 2012) that proposes lacquer ware that fits with the modern lifestyle. In addition to their brand, they have continued to produce beautiful items rooted in the local lacquerware culture since the Edo period, including over 1000 types of commercial bowls and etc. Shitsurindo brings new initiatives to appeal in today’s trend.
