Taniguchi Seidosho founded in 1915, Iwamatsu Taniguchi was first to develops stone quarry for Hanasaka pottery. They have been shipping and transporting the raw material for Kutani-yaki to other part of the japan during then and had pushed the town into a bustling industry that replaces agriculture. Besides, the company has continued to manufacture Kutani-yaki porcelain clay using Hanasaka stone as the main raw material. In recent years, they have proposed a new style of Kutani-yaki, a new Kutani-yaki brand “HANASAKA” has also been launched. Having the characteristics of Kutani ware in the background, the new brand wish to exhibit the works in higher level of quality and craftsmanship.
