Kumiko is a traditional Japanese technique that combines pieces wood without using nails. This is a traditional and advanced woodworking technique that has been around since the Asuka period. Tanihata uses Kumiko technique to produce “Ramma”(Japanese Panels) which is widely used in commercial facilities such as hotels, train stations, airports, and restaurants, as well as in Japanese-style rooms in houses. Hemp leaves and cherry blossoms are also used to decorate various spaces with geometric kumiko patterns from ancient Japan.
