Kutani porcelain is often produced according to a clear division of labor, where decoration artists and shaping artists work separately. Yoyo is an artist specializing in wheel shaping. Using indigenous materials, the artist mainly produces tablewares using Kutani’s porcelain clay. Born in 1992 in Kumamoto, the artist now works independently after completing her studies at Kanazawa College of Art and Ishikawa Prefectural Institute for Kutani Pottery. Numerous works has been send to exhibitions mainly around Ishikawa Prefecture.
