Yuma Takahashi

Born in Tokyo, Artist is an independent lacquer artist. After graduating from Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Studio in 2018, Yuma Takahashi has been practicing this form of art in a modern expression of the decorative technique called Kawari Nuri, a technique where samurai modernly expresses the decorative technique for the sword blade during the Edo era. Creating the theme “A new place for lacquer”, Artist create a wide range of items from everyday use to ornamental works, such as colorful smartphone cases, business card holders, and matcha bowls.
