ABOUT

Go for Kogei 2021 is a celebration of craft (kogei) in the Hokuriku region held in the three prefectures of Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui. Organized around the theme of “Life in the Age of Crafts,” the festival features two special exhibitions devoted to the subthemes of “craft as contemporary art” and “craft as design.” The exhibitions will be held concurrently at locations in the cities of Takaoka, Kanazawa, Komatsu, and Echizen, along with special programs for experiencing Hokuriku’s craft centers in-person and online.

7/30日(土)13時から開催予定のシンポジ

漆は、古くから椀や箱など天然の接着剤や塗料として用いられてきました。那谷寺で展示予定の鵜飼康平氏は、大学で漆を学び、漆を塗る・研ぐ行為の繰り返しから、偶発的に生まれる形を拾いあげ、作品として発表してきました。

今回は、那谷寺の境内で偶然出会った倒木を切り出し、過去最大規模のスケールの大きな作品を手掛けます。自然の摂理によって倒れ、参道を塞ぐ危険物として除去される運命の倒木に、新たな命を宿すことに向きあった作品となります。

⬛︎鵜飼康平
1993年愛知県生まれ。2016年に金沢美術工芸大学を卒業後、2018年に同大学大学院を修了。2021年に金沢卯辰山工芸工房を修了し、現在は金沢市にて制作を行う。LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2020 でファイナリストに選出。金沢美術工芸大学、湖北美術館に作品が収蔵されている。

北陸3県を舞台に9月17日-10月23日の会期で開催される「北陸工芸の祭典 GO FOR KOGEI 2022」のTrailerが公開されました。総勢20名の作家がサイトスペシフィックな作品を展示します。特別展の詳細は、プロフィールのWEBサイトからもあわせてご覧ください。

■特別展「つくる－土地、くらし、祈りが織りなすもの－」
昨年開催した「工芸的な美しさの行方工芸、現代アート、アール・ブリュット」展で見せた、“ジャンルを超えた素材と制作の関係性と創造性”の続編にあたる内容です。本展では、繊維、染織、陶、漆、金属、木、紙などの、多様な素材とそれへの関わり方や技術を、広く「つくる」という視点によって見直し、創作活動を行う、作家らを紹介します。

9月17日に開幕するGO FOR KOGEI 2022の公式

いよいよ今週末開催！GO FOR KOGEI 2022 特別展に出展するガラス作家・小曾川瑠那さんと一緒に展示作品を制作するワークショップを、7⽉16⽇（⼟）～18⽇（⽉）の3日間開催します！

WSを通して作られた作品は、富山県高岡市の勝興寺にて9⽉17⽇から展示されます。参加費は無料ですので、ご予約の上、ふるってご参加ください！

ご予約は30分毎に受け付けています。定員に達した回もありますので、予約状況や詳細は@goforkogei のpassmarket予約サイトよりご確認下さい。

白山信仰自然智の森－那谷寺
重要文化財に指定された寺社仏閣での特別展「つくる―土地、くらし、祈りが織りなすもの―」の会場の一つとなる那谷寺は、自然そのものが生きとし生けるものにつながり、その中で人は生かされてここに在るという、白山信仰が根付き、自然の神を崇めてきた地です。

境内にそばだつ岩山の多くの洞窟は、魂がよみがえり、白く清められる聖地であり、また、緑樹の影や苔むす参道を通って、四季のうつろいを感じることができます。本日は、昨年の展示風景の一部とともに、何度でも訪れたくなる、白山信仰自然智の森－那谷寺の様子もお届けします。

Hakusan Faith and Forest of Natural Wisdom - Natadera Temple

Natadera Temple, one of the venues for the special exhibition at important cultural properties, is a place where the Hakusan Faith, a belief that nature itself is connected to all living things and that people are kept alive and exist here within it, has taken root.

The many caves in the rocky mountains that flank the temple grounds are sacred places where the soul is revived and purified in white, and the changing seasons can be experienced through the shadows of green trees and moss-covered pathways. Today, along with some of the scenes from last year's exhibition, we also bring you a glimpse of the Natadera Temple, which you will want to visit again and again.

深い森に囲まれた祈りの場－大瀧神社・岡太神社
重要文化財に指定された寺社仏閣での特別展「つくる―土地、くらし、祈りが織りなすもの―」の会場の一つとなる大瀧神社・岡太神社は、深い山に囲まれた越前和紙の工房が軒を連ねる、福井県越前市に位置する全国で唯一“紙の神様”を祀る神社です。今年は展覧会の会場周辺の魅力も皆さんにお届けしていきたいと思います。

A place of prayer surrounded by deep forest – Otaki-Okamoto Shrines

Otaki-Okamoto Shrines, which will be one of the venues for the special exhibition at temples and shrines designated as important cultural properties, is located in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture, surrounded by deep mountains and lined with Echizen washi workshops. The shrine is the only one in the country dedicated to the 'god of paper'. This year, we would also like to share with you the charms of the area surrounding the exhibition venue.

Today, we would like to introduce you to last year's exhibition by @takurokuwata at Otaki -Okamoto Shrine, and the surroundings of the exhibition site surrounded by lush forests. It is a place that you must visit at least once, where your heart will be refreshed.
